Hello August: Finding Decor Inspiration in a New Month

I love the beginning of a new month as it brings fresh inspiration. July has a youthful exuberance and frenetic energy to it, but August is the time that both summer and we mature and take a moment to appreciate what we have. In August, fruits and vegetables abound as flowers reach the height of their glory. And we take a moment to step back at the end of our shortening days to appreciate the sight of lightening bugs and the singing of cicadas. So, while we naturally start to look forward to the coming of fall, let’s all take a moment to treasure these final moments of summer to hold close to our hearts forever. Happy August.

August inspirations include hydrangeas and black eyed susan
antique basket of flowers
wreath featuring vegetables
farmers markets are always a source of August inspiration

Hydrangeas are my favorites, hands down. Those paniculata (limelights? can’t tell!) look so nice with the black-eyed susans!

Thanks Barb. They are a favorite of mine too. I can’t believe we are already at the end of summer blooming stage.
